BYD, China's leading electric carmaker, reported sales of 1.76 million EVs last year, closely trailing Tesla's 1.79 million. However, when including hybrids, BYD's total reached 4.3 million vehicles in 2024. The company recently launched the Qin L model at a starting price of 119,800 yuan, significantly lower than Tesla's Model 3, and introduced new battery technology that allows for a five-minute charge. Additionally, BYD's advanced driver-assistance technology, dubbed "God's Eye," will be available for free across all models.
